Blender 4.5
2 ways to mirror geometry automatically
Method 1
Switch to Edit Mode and enable mesh symmetry using the small menu in the top-right corner of the viewport (butterfly icon). You can also find it in the sidebar under Tool → Options → Transform. This method only works if Blender can detect a mirrored counterpart of the selected geometry along the chosen axis. It won't mirror new geometry like extrusions.
Method 2
In the Properties panel, go to Modifier tab → Add Modifier → Mirror. Choose the axis you want, and enable Bisect to cut off anything past the mirror plane. This method is more flexible — all edits will be mirrored automatically.
