Blender 4.5
Alias-style navigation setup in Blender
Go to Edit → Preferences → Keymap. Under 3D View → 3D View (Global), locate the following actions and set them as follows:
Rotate View:
Shift + Alt + Left Mouse ButtonPan View:
Shift + Alt + Middle Mouse ButtonZoom View:
Shift + Alt + Right Mouse Button
Note: You’ll find multiple entries for these (e.g. trackpad). It’s best to change the default Desktop keymaps (default keymaps are: MMB, Shift + MMB, Ctrl + MMB). Apply the same logic to 2D areas (e.g. View2D → Pan View, etc). You may encounter some conflicts with other keymaps, especially due to the use of the SHIFT key.
