Go to Edit
→ Preferences
→ Keymap
. Under 3D View
→ 3D View (Global)
, locate the following actions and set them as follows:
Rotate View:
Shift + Alt + Left Mouse Button
Pan View:
Shift + Alt + Middle Mouse Button
Zoom View:
Shift + Alt + Right Mouse Button
Note: You’ll find multiple entries for these (e.g. trackpad). It’s best to change the default Desktop keymaps (default keymaps are: MMB
, Shift + MMB
, Ctrl + MMB
). Apply the same logic to 2D areas (e.g. View2D
→ Pan View
, etc). You may encounter some conflicts with other keymaps, especially due to the use of the SHIFT key.
