Change direction of curve extrusion

To extrude a curve, go to the Properties > Curve Data > Geometry > Extrude slider. For horizontal extrusion (e.g., roads), select your curve, enter Edit Mode, select a vertex, then open the N sidebar. Under Item → Mean Tilt, set the value to 90°.
