Unlimited non-destructive fillets and chamfers with custom attributes
Since Blender 4.3, it's now possible to add unlimited non-destructive beveled edges using Bevel Weights through custom attributes. The original method involves assigning a Bevel Weight to an edge and adding a Bevel Modifier set to Weight mode. The updated method for multiple bevels is slightly different:
In
Edit Mode, select an edge.Go to the
Propertiesarea →Datatab →Attributesand click the+icon to create a new attribute.Name the attribute (e.g.,
Chamfer), set the Domain toEdge, and leave Data Type asFloat. In the
Modifier Tab, add a Bevel Modifier:Set
Limit Method→WeightSet
Edge Weight→Chamfer(your custom attribute)
Back in the
Attributestab, make sureChamferis selected. In the viewport, press
F3, search forSet Attribute, and set a value (start with1.0; values above1are allowed too).In the
Modifiertab, optionally disableClamp Overlapfor better results.Repeat the process to create additional attributes and Bevel Modifiers with different weights for different edges.
You can now have multiple edges with distinct, non-destructive bevel profiles using custom weights.
